Role
I worked as the associate UX Designer on this project, during my tenure at Mindtree. Apart from my main tasks of refreshing the experience, I also actively participated in research and client communication. I also created several style explorations for the clients to visualise design approaches. The deliverables and walkthrough of my work is detailed below.
Design Objective
The objective of this project was to create a seamless experience for landlords on Dubai Properties. In addition, we had to create custom elements to accommodate Dubai Properties unique service offerings.
DUBAI PROPERTIES
Dubai Properties is a real estate master developer based in the United Arab Emirates. They are responsible for shaping some of Dubai’s most renowned and iconic real estate destinations.
USER STUDY
We performed studies on the landlords to understand their main goals and user journeys within the realm of Dubai Properties.
There were several conclusions drawn as a result of the user study. We scoped out what needed to be in each phase, and we collected this data from desk research, stakeholder interviews and user card sorting.

Scoping to determine the flow and design phases
PAIN POINTS
On the day of shooting, the shots had to be in reverse order, since the shots in the final output would be in reverse. This meant that the model gradually added more paint to her face.
- Key tasks were too time consuming for the landlords to spend time on.
- The process for raising service requests was not intuitive enough.
- The payment journey was cumbersome and not secure, raising several concerns for the user's privacy.
- here was no unified and secure location to store and view documentation (Property documents, permits and NOC’s.)
INSIGHTS
Based on our previous findings, we arrived at the following conclusions;
- The user needed the system to be intuitive, yet detailed. This was a core requirement when creating this experience.
- Key tasks needed to be simplified in order to save the landlord important time.
- We needed to add custom elements to aid efficient task completion, i.e. 'Services'.
INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE & FLOW
The system needed to be split into four main buckets. These were 'Properties', 'Financials', 'Services' and 'News'.
While services, properties and financials were stakeholder requirements, news was introduced to give users more opportunities to engage with Dubai Properties.
Final high level information architecture for Dubai Properties
FINAL EXPERIENCE (RESPONSIVE)
Staying faithful to the Dubai Properties branding guidelines, we created the following responsive end-to-end flow. This experience was validated by one-on-one interactions with the users.
